1. What we collect

• Account data: email address, password (stored hashed), display name, date of birth.
• Profile data: bio, interests, gender, city zone, and photos you upload.
• Usage data: when you sign in, basic activity logs, and reports or blocks you submit.

2. Why we process it

To operate the service (show you profiles, verify eligibility), to keep it safe (moderate and handle reports), and to comply with Indian law including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

3. What we don't do

• No selling of your personal data.
• No behavioural advertising today.
• No publishing your data without your visibility opt-in.

4. Data protection

Passwords are hashed. Data is stored with access controls, and our infrastructure follows security best practices. Your personal data is protected with care.

5. Sharing

We share data with the hosted infrastructure providers that run the service, and with authorities where the law requires it. We will never sell your data.

6. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and your content at any time.

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023 you may seek access, correction, and erasure of your personal data by writing to privacy@bhilaidate.in.
